Park and ornamental lake
Did you know that the Château d’Ermenonville harbours a very special secret? All you need do is climb on high to discover an 18-hectare landscaped parkland divided in two by an ornamental lake, tucked away behind the historic 18th-century façade.
The delightful rowing boat moored on the ornamental lake, invites you to soak up the sunshine and the water’s soothing serenity.
Here, nature is left to its own devices, inviting you to embark on a meditative stroll. Each of the four seasons is the perfect pretext for a rejuvenating walk, a game of hide-and-seek with the kids, an invigorating run or a relaxing spot of reading in the shade of the estate’s hundred-year-old trees.
Bike ride
Bikes are also available for hire to explore the area around the château.
Located just 5km from the Scandibérique cycle route, on the Pont-Sainte-Maxence/Ermenonville section, and proud recipient of the ‘Accueil Vélo’ bike-friendly label, the Domaine Château Ermenonville is an ideal stopoff for cyclists. Here, the forests of Ermenonville, Halatte and Chantilly offer delightful routes through pine, heather and imposing sandy moors.

With its cosy fireside lounges complete with enveloping armchairs, open-access library, chessboard and extensive collection of board games, the Domaine Château Ermenonville is a veritable playroom. Just next door to the château, the Parc Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and further afield the Domaine de Chaalis and La Mer de Sable theme park are further enticements for enjoying quality time together.

Just 40km from Paris, the Domaine Château Ermenonville offers an exciting range of seminar and team-building activities. Here, history and nature are the co-authors of bonding group activities.
